About Us

Welcome to Sovereign Inn Church

Sovereign Inn Church is a place of worship, where people from multi-cultural back
grounds who are broken, wounded and weary can come to be Refreshed with a fresh
revelation of the Word of God, Renewed in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit and
Restored by the living waters that only Jesus can provide. Matthew 11:28

Individuals with special needs are welcomed into the Sovereign Inn family, with the
intention to have them integrated and trained to be a part of the team. Teaching them to
operate the sound desk, showing them basic computer skills, café duties, packing and
distribution of hampers to our less fortunate community.

Pastors Profile

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring
good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim
that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. Isaiah 61:1

Ps Jonathan received his calling at a young age and has been in ministry since 1995
teaching and preaching the Word of God, conducted healing and deliverance crusades
(in Fiji, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Israel and Malaysia).

He has actively served on a Church board, held office as a Treasurer, Associate Pastor
for over 13 years under the ACC (Australian Christian Churches), on the board of
directors for the SMRC (Southern Migration & Refugee Centre). Was honoured in
2024 as an Ambassador for Peace by UPF (Universal Peace Federation) a global
network of peace builders).

Of all the above titles that he holds, the most significant is, “Servant of God”. He was
born with a purpose from God, to preach and teach the Word and to grow God’s
Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

Pastors Vision

My vision is to fulfil the great commission and to add souls to the Kingdom Finishing The Task Matthew 28:19-20.  I am focused on meeting the spiritual,
emotional and physical well being of our multicultural community by supporting our
people to make positive life choices to reach their potential in life. I will meet them
where they are and take them with loving kindness to where God’s Spirit guides me.

Sovereign Inn Church will serve the disadvantaged, look after the downtrodden,
assist the people with special needs and be a friend to the broken hearted. The
Church will do this, along with my constant guidance which I receive from the Holy
Spirit. Through pastoral care and Biblical counselling, we will support our brothers
and sisters experiencing various personal and emotional issues, addictions, grief and
trauma, and to lead them showing that the only Way to do this is through Christ Jesus.
As it is written in the Gospel of John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life”.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and he will Lead the way.

What we believe:

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable
to our every day lives

The Trinity
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three
Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving
and completely holy

Sin
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our
lives

Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who
can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in
our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life

Salvation
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of
our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives

Baptism
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we
need to be baptised in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit

Equipped
We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully
achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the
Church and serve the community in which we live

Transformation
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and
prosperous lives in order to help others more effectively

Eternity
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our
response to the Lord Jesus Christ

Second Coming
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as promised

Sovereign Inn Church is a member of the Australian Christian Churches (ACC), a movement of 1,300 churches with more than 250,000 believers across Australia. For the ACC’s full constitution, history, leadership and statement of belief please visit: acc.org.au
